Course content

In Applied Ethics for BCI, established by Kirsten Lindner-Schwentick and Dr. Ralph Rutte, himself an alumnus of our department and until his retirement working as General Director and Regional President Clariant Russia/CIS, ethical issues in engineering in a highly interactive seminar format will be addressed. Since 2022 the course is held by Dipl.-Ing. Kai Kiesow (BASF SE) and Mustafa Uyan (Beckman Coulter Diagnostics), which are both alumni of the department. The basics for understanding the topic and the tools for a fruitful active participation in the seminar itself (to be held in February 2023) will be presented in a self-paced Moodle course. The Moodle course closes with a test qualifying for the participation in the face-to-face seminar. The two days seminar itself will take place end of February 2023, in all likelihood in presence in the room CT Central Area - SR ZE 07. Further information will follow by mid December.

The Moodle course is limited to a maximum of 30 Master students. Registration is possible via Moodle (event number 060833) starting in October 2022. If the demand for places is higher than the supply, places will be drawn by lot. The participants will be informed by e-mail.
