- Picture of the Month

After 5 years of collaborations across industry and academia, the Laboratory of Equipment Design presented their most important developed tools at the NFDI4Cat Summit 2025. The event brought together researchers, engineers, and data scientists to exchange insights on digitalization and innovation in catalysis research.
Throughout the summit, the team participated in interesting talks and discussions on the future of data-driven experimentation, open-access infrastructures, and sustainable lab practices. A broad selection of tools developed within the first funding phase was showcased many of which will be further developed for end users during the second funding period.
Discussions on the second funding period highlighted the community’s vision for the continued impact of NFDI4Cat, which is funded until the end of 2028.
Norbert Kockmann is taking the lead on Task Area "Foundations for Ontology-driven RDM", continuing the laboratory's active role in shaping the future of digital catalysis research.
