2nd Place at the IELA with 'AR-Flow'

AR Flow, an augmented reality learning environment for fluid mechanics developed at TU Dortmund University, took second place in the Augmented & Virtual Reality Experiments category at the International E-Learning Award (IELA). The app enables students to visualize complex flow phenomena, conduct virtual experiments, and interactively explore laboratory content—flexibly in the lecture hall, in the lab, or on their own devices. AR Flow combines modern visualization, mobile learning access, and didactically structured tasks into a scalable, practice-oriented learning environment for large cohorts of engineering students. The project is part of a research-based development series by the faculty, funded by the Foundation for Innovation in Higher Education.
