ENPRO: TeiA

Energy Efficiency and Process Intensification for the Chemical Industry - Separation Process with Efficient and Intelligent Equipment

TeiA is a sub-project of the ENPRO 2.0 project network, which emerged from ENPRO. Within the framework of this sub-project, continuously operated crystallization and extraction equipment are being investigated and characterized. The continuous operation of these apparatuses makes it possible to develop more energy-efficient processes than the batch processes used to date.

In addition, the modularization of the apparatuses is intended to shorten the time-to-market. To this end, the operating windows for the individual units are being characterized and tested for different stock systems. In the future, modular automation, integrating intelligent sensors and electronic data processing in cooperation with the ORCA sub-project, will enable efficient and intelligent interconnection and optimum adaptation of individual modules.
